心理学 internships are offered for academic credit and are designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their particular area of interest. 学生 may enroll in 2-4 credits of PSYC 460, and are expected to spend between 6 and 12 hrs per week on their internship activities over a 14 week semester. 每年, between 10-20 majors (typically seniors and juniors) conduct internships in a variety of environments including the St. 裘德儿童研究医院, LeBonheur儿童医院, 青年的村庄, 计划生育, 临终关怀, 女孩公司, 卓越基金会, 各种律师事务所, and human resource departments of area businesses.

An important non-academic goal is to help the students make decisions about possible careers.
